It is with great pleasure that we can announce that our own Rens Claerhoudt, PhD candidate at the Public Law & Governance Department of Tilburg Law School and a member of our CitA community, was recently awarded the Piet Gilhuis Scriptieprijs 2023 by the Vereniging voor Milieurecht (VMR) (Dutch Association for Environmental Law) for his Master’s thesis that he completed before beginning his doctoral research.

His thesis was entitled: ‘A Legal Protection of Metazoan Parasites: Exploring Biopolitical Complexities Through Comparing Parasites and Invasive Alien Species.’
