Constitutionalizing in the Anthropocene

Friday Fika – ‘Land expropriation – the hidden danger of climate change response in Mozambique’

11 Feb 2022

Online (11:00am)

This Friday’s fika will take us into the intersection of property, climate change, and law & development in a case study of climate change-induced land expropriation in Mozambique. We have not had many fikas on development themes so I am excited to invite Dr. Carolien Jacobs to take us on this journey. Carolien is an associate professor at the Van Vollenhoven Institute at Leiden University. She has a background in international development and anthropology and is currently involved in a Horizon 2020 project entitled: ‘TRAFIG – Transnational Figurations of Displacement’.

The fika is at 11:00am.

Those who have not received the invite / zoom link but who would like to join can email: m.c.leach [at]
